About the Department
The Department of English is established in the year 1999-2000. The College started with B.A. course. The founder of this college is Adv. Vijayrao Tulsjiramji Jadhao . He established this college aiming to provide higher education to the rural area students with will equip furniture and infrastructure. English Language is compulsory for all. Keeping in pace with new trends in education and job opportunities college introduced English Literature as optional. Assist. Prof. Rinku V. Rukke is the head of English Department. Two more CHB lecturers also assist her in department. To meet vision, mission and objectivities they work together for the improvement of the department.
English language has been gaining more and more importance as a medium of global communication and now become a language of opportunities rather than just a library language. It is an undeniable fact that fairly high degree proficiency and excellent communication skills in English enhance student’s employability. Keeping in view the principles of language learning the department adopts an interactive approach for teaching. English department is aware of changing needs in the job market and hence started organizing various activities through this department. It also encourages students to participate in each activity. The department aims to develop the language and communication skills of learners. Department motivates s the students to become active participants of the department. The department also promotes the students for using the dictionary and self learning.
The department also encourages students to read English Newspaper, magazines, articles and books. It also helps students to write articles, poems, collect various articles and publishes it in the college magazine named Utakarsh. The department also conducts various tests like class test, surprise test etc.
The remarkable achievement of our department is in terms of successful graduates, who are now serving the society in diverse capacities in various central, state and private organizations. Our department one student has qualified SET exam in English. The department feels proud about this achievement.
